You may know it as “Mikado” or “Shangai” (for Italian players) or palitos chinos (for the Spanish players). It is a game where players have to take up the sticks – the variables – which are released in a circular jumble – a complex environment.
Either by hand – actions and practices – or by a special stick – knowledge – or through finger pressing on a stick tip – policy recommendations – the player has to take up all the sticks from the table.
Differently from the game, mgb aims to take up or strategically move the most sensitive sticks accordingly to the context’s needs or the policy/programme/project’s goals.
